Restoring defective blocks
The Repair Defects function assigns an alternative
sector for the defective sector. The defective data
cannot be restored.
To restore defective blocks, click the Repair defects
button in the Maintenance Menu dialog.
The Repair defects dialog appears, and processing
starts for the Repair defects phase.
You can abort the processing by clicking the ABORT
button on the right side of the Repair defects dialog. If
you do so, the block is not restored.
When processing finishes, the Complete dialog
appears and the maintenance results are displayed.
