    INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGIE Approved usage The UP and GO II folding motor was designed for model flight and is only suitable for this purpose. Never fly the model aircraft in the vicinity of high-voltage transmission lines, industrial premises, residential areas, public streets, plazas, school yards, parks or playgrounds and the like.

If you do not have any experience with this type of motorized mo- del, please contact an experienced model pilot who can assist you. If the folding motor is com- missioned without prior knowledge, injuries can occur.
  • Page 6 Adhesives and paints contain solvents which may be hazardous to health under certain circumstances. Read and observe the notes and warnings supplied by the manufacturer of these materials. Never fly over or towards other people. During take-off and landing procedures the runway must be free of unauthorised persons and movable obsta- cles.

    INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGIE Initial startup Attention! The folding motor must be first started before it is installed in the fuselage in order to program extension and retraction. Fine adjustments can be made at a later time. Attention! Before you start programming, remove the propeller from the motor's shaft; this is necessary, since in the event of an interruption of the signal line by the microswitch, the controller may not shut off the motor for a while (because of the software used) and the motor may continue to operate during retraction.

    Programming diagram (2) Programming diagram (2) is the diagram you must use in the event of problems involving the controller used for the drive motor. In the event of an interruption of the signal line by the microswitch, the controller may not shut off the mo- tor (because of the software used) for a while and the motor may continue to operate during retraction.

    INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGIE Installation of the „Up and Go II“ folding motor Attention! It is important to observe the sequence of procedures described in these building instructions. A rib is adhered slightly behind the wing support in the hull for the installation of the folding motor. The folding motor is screwed onto this rib from behind.
  • Page 14 Using a fine saw or a diamond cutting disc, cut the closing flaps out of the hull, preferably along a steel guide rule. Cut the removed section down the center, along the seam of the hull so that two flaps are made and mark them as right and left flaps.
  • Page 15 INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGIE When adhering the hinge halves, it is important to ensure that the rotary axes of the individual hinges are aligned with one another. Adhere the hinge halves to the flaps and the inside of the hull using fast setting glue. In the pro- cess, connect the individual hinges using a correspondingly long wire, so that they are flush with one another.
