Environmental protection

If batteries need to be replaced, please observe the following:
Take used GESIPA
Never throw discarded batteries into the waste, into fire or into water!

Troubleshooting

6.1

Blind rivet nut does not screw on

Cause
Nut thread defective
Threaded mandrel defective
Nut does not rest against nosepiece
Nut unscrew again
No battery
Error indicator on the display E4
6.2

Nut is not screwed off

Cause
Nut thread deformed/destroyed due to excessive
setting force
Error indicator on the display E3
6.3

Set blind rivet nut is loose

Cause
Setting force too low
Switch released before the defined setting force
is reached.
Riveting is faulty!
Error indicator on the display: E1

Corrective measures
Use new nut
Change threaded mandrel (Point 3.1)
Threaded mandrel length x incorrect; adapt to nut
length (see point 3.2)
Keep switch 9 pressed until the tool stops (Point
4.1)
Charge battery (Point 5.3)
Corrective measures
Reduce setting force (Section 3.3); remove using
hexagon screwdriver (Section 4.2; see Fig. 5)
Corrective measures
Define setting force correctly (Section 3.3)
Execute setting sequence correctly (Section 4.3)
for recycling.
