HELMET HOLDER
The helmet holders are located below the
seat.
Remove the seat (page
Hang the helmets on the holder hook ( ).
Install the seat and lock it securely.
Riding with a helmet attached to the
holder can interfere with the rear wheel
or suspension and could cause a
crash in which you can be seriously
hurt or killed.
Use the helmet holder only while
parked. Do not ride with a helmet
secured by the holder.

air filter replacement
To replace the air filter on a Honda XL650V:
1. Remove the seat (see page 40 of the manual).
2. Remove the left and right front cover bolts and disconnect the covers from the fuel tank holders.
3. Disconnect the ventilation tubes from the hold cap overfill device.
4. Disconnect the float connector, vacuum tube, and fuel cock feeding tube.
5. Remove the fuel tank.
6. Access and replace the air filter.
Make sure the engine is off and the motorcycle is on a firm, level surface. Use new, genuine Honda parts or their equivalent.
