1. Deflate the lifejacket by reversing the oral tube valve cap and pushing into the end of
the tube;
2. Expel all air by tightly rolling up the bladder. Repeat procedure at least once to ensure
all air expelled. Remove Cap.
3. Ensure jacket is clean and completely dry;
4. Lay bladder and cover on a flat surface and smooth out bladder removing all wrinkles;
5. Undertake 'RE-ARMING PROCEDURE' if necessary;
6. Split Front Style: Do not roll the bladder. Fold & flake the bladder ensuring the manual
lever (3) is unobstructed and is facing the outside edge of the cover. Close the cover
(either Velcro or zip) and check that the handle (1) is visible when packed. Pouch
Style: Fold sides of bladder into centre and then fold the bladder down into the bag.
Close lid of pouch.
This level is intended for general application or for Coastal and Offshore with foul weather
clothing. It will turn an unconscious person into a safe position and requires no subsequent
action by the user to maintain this position. Not suitable if heavy tools or equipment are
carried. Compatible with safety harnesses.
IF DECK HARNESS FITTED
This line/harness is to protect against falling overboard and is not protection against falls
from height. Anchorage points must be able to withstand a force of 1000kg. It is unsafe to
wear this harness loose. Rinse in fresh water, particularly if used in salt water. If oil, dirt or
debris are evident wash in soapy water. Do not dry in excessive or direct heat. Check for
signs of excessive abrasion. Check webbing, stitching and buckles. WARNING: The deck
harness and safety line may transmit very large forces. Only attach to strong hooking
points or jack-lines.
WARNING: It is unsafe to wear this harness loose. The harness shall be worn tightly
in order to be effective.
Gas cylinders are dangerous goods, should not be misused and kept away from
children. Do not use as a cushion. Full performance may not be achieved using
waterproof clothing or in other circumstances.
