• When the repair is executed, MAC address of Wi-Fi/Bluetooth address
in the terminal may be changed regardless of repaired part.
• Magnetic components are used in the parts that are described
below. Do not allow cash cards or other devices that are vulnerable to
magnetism to come into contact with the phone.
Used parts: speaker, earpiece
• If the FOMA terminal has gotten wet or moist, immediately power off
the terminal, and bring it to the DOCOMO-specified repair office as
soon as possible. However, note that it may be not repaired depending
on the extent of the damage.
Memory dial (Phonebook function) and downloaded data
• When you change the model or repair the FOMA terminal, data that
has been imported, downloaded or created by you may be changed
or lost. DOCOMO shall have no liability for any change or loss of any
kind. Under some circumstances, DOCOMO may replace your FOMA
terminal with its equivalent instead of repairing it. In this case, most
data from the old terminal cannot be transferred to the replacement
terminal.

Updating Software

You can update the FOMA terminal to the most recent software to
get the latest enhancements.
Download updates automatically and directly through wireless from
the FOMA terminal via Internet using mobile network connection or
Wi-Fi network connection. "System update" screen appears when
download is completed.
Note
• Make sure to use the latest software.
• Downloads updating files automatically using data connection
(3G or Wi-Fi). When you update software via 3G, a large amount
of packet communication charge will apply. Therefore, it is highly
recommended to use packet flat-rate service or Flat-rate data
communications.
• You cannot update the software via PC.
• When the FOMA terminal is connected to the Internet using the
mobile network connection, the data communication fee applies.
• Make sure to back up and save all data contained in the FOMA
terminal before starting updating the FOMA terminal.
• When updating software for the first time, it may take a few minutes
to update data and other operation might slow down. The time
taken for software update vary depending on how much data is
stored in the FOMA terminal. Do not turn the power down until
software update completes.
• Charge battery fully before updating.
