APPENDIX B: ASTRA® SYSTEM ERROR CODES
Error codes are displayed any time the system senses a problem that could cause the probe(s) to be improperly
disinfected.

Probable Cause
HLD Bottle may not be
connected.
HLD Bottle level may be low.
Water inlet line may be
disconnected or shutoff.
Water inlet line may be cracked. Turn machine off, ensure fitting is not cracked.
Water filter may be
disconnected.
Water pressure may be low.
Fluid has been detected in
disinfection chamber when it
should be empty.
Infrequent Use
HLD Bottle should not be
removed unless you are
replacing the bottle.
Probe was inserted or
microswitch activated prior to
scanning probe ID.
Probe was removed after probe
ID was scanned, inserted, and
door closed before cycle was
complete.
Door left open for more than 2
minutes during the HLD fill of
the chambers.
MRC result was not entered
during HLD soak time.
Main program temporarily
"busy".

Corrective Action
Turn machine off, disconnect and reconnect
HLD bottle.
If bottle is not filled more than 3/4 full, replace
bottle referring to the "Replace HLD Bottle"
Menu Option.
Turn machine off, disconnect and reconnect
water line.
Turn machine off, disconnect and reconnect
water.
Ensure water pressure is between 30-50psi.
If chamber is empty, press Enter to clear the
error and run cycle again.
If chamber is full, turn machine off, disconnect
and reconnect drain line.
Press Enter to clear error and run cycle again.
If bottle is removed, replace the same bottle
back into the system.
If bottle is not removed, clear the error. When
placing the HLD bottle back into machine, hold
the bottle against the bottle detector with one
hand and firmly connect with the other hand to
avoid an Error 22.
Press Enter to clear error and run cycle again.
If error occurs on ASTRA TEE unit, wipe down
the visual cable sensors with a dry cloth to
remove any dust or debris.
Press Enter to clear error and run cycle again.
Press Enter to clear error and run cycle again.
Press Enter to clear error and run cycle again.
Press Enter to clear error and try downloading
log file again.
