Before using the markers
The markers for the self-charging function are for use with Sony Energy Station ERA-210P1 for the
purpose of charging AIBO's built-in battery pack.
The markers for the self-charging function act as guides that allow AIBO to position itself on the
Energy Station in order to charge itself.

• For details on the self-charging function, see the user's guide for the AIBO-ware containing the
self-charging function.

Installing the Markers on the Energy Station

About the power cord
1 Lead out the power cord from the front-right
position of the Energy Station.
Bottom side of the Energy Station
3 Make sure that the cord is not pinned under
the front marker base.
Notes
• Make sure the makers are positioned with the blue one on top and the green one on the bottom.
• Make sure the markers are correctly stacked as shown above. If they are not, self-charging may
not be possible.
• The markers are not attached to the Energy Station. When moving the Energy Station, make sure
the markers are not left behind.

Notes on use
On usage
• Do not use or place the markers near an open fire (e.g., a fireplace) as this may result in a fire or a
burn injury.
• Do not allow the markers for the self-charging function to get to wet.
• Do not place any object in the area where it might interfere with AIBO's self-charging function.
• Do not bend the marker bases as this may damage it.
• Do not leave the markers for the self-charging function in a very hot place such as a car parked in
the sun, as this may deform or damage it.
• Do only procedures that are described in the operating instructions. If you do not, Sony will not
be responsible for any damages that may result.
On cleaning
• When the markers for the self-charging function gets dirty, wipe them with a dry soft cloth.
• Do not use any volatile solvent such as alcohol or thinner that may damage the surface finish.
• When cleaning with a chemically treated cloth, see the precautions that came with the cloth.
