- To avoid damage to the heater blade, gently clean
T
jouz with the cleaning brush contained in this
package using a twisting motion.
- The cleaning stick is used for cleaning jouz only.
- Do not soak the cleaning stick in other solutions.
- Do not use the cleaning stick when jouz is heated.
Use the Self-Cleaning Function
It is suggested to enable the self-cleaning function after
using every 20 cigarettes.
• Press and hold the button for 6 seconds to activate the
self-cleaning function. The 3 LED indicators flash quickly.
After cleaning for 30 seconds, the 3 LED indicators turn
off and self-cleaning is finished. You may still need to use
the cleaning stick to remove the residual burnt tobacco.
• To manually turn off jouz during self-cleaning, press and
hold the button for 2 seconds.
- If you press and hold the button for more than
T
8 seconds, the self-cleaning function will not be
activated.
- Be careful of the high temperature during
self-cleaning.
- Do not use the cleaning stick until jouz is
cooled down.
- Do not touch the heater blade or the aluminum
tube during self-cleaning

Troubleshooting

1. I can not insert the heat-not-burn tobacco stick into the
holder.
Residual tobacco from a previous tobacco stick is stuck in
the cap. Take the cleaning hook from the clean brush, then
remove the tobacco residue. To prevent this from happening
again, refer to the Remove Heat-Not-Burn Tobacco Sticks
section in this manual.
2. jouz is not working properly in extremely high or low
temperatures.
If jouz is exposed to extremely high or low temperatures
for some time, it may stop working until the temperature
returns to normal. Try to avoid such exposure to extreme
temperatures.

3. jouz's three LEDs are flashing.
All 3 LED indicators flashing together could indicate jouz
is overheated. Wait for a few minutes for temperatures to
normalize. If the 3 lights continue flashing, contact jouz's
customer center for help.
4. I don't know the battery life and when to replace jouz.
When used according to this user manual, the battery in
jouz has a lifespan of approximately 500 charge cycles. The
battery is optimized for one year's operation, when used 20
times per day. Replace jouz if battery capacity has degraded
significantly.
