OPERATION SPECIFICATION
ELM8
Integrated variable speed fan automatically turns on when light
output exceeds 5100 lumens ; Low Speed (5200-6300), High
Speed (6400-8000).
OPERATING THE ELM8 WITH SOFTBOXES
When using 3rd-Party modifers that cover the ELM8 heat sink, trapped
heat can cause the light to lower it's output. To prevent overheating,
open the modifier vents or dial back to a lower lumen output.

OPERATION
Power Switch
MODE
Short Press = ON/OFF
Long Press = Menu Settings
Short Press: Moves Up
Short Press: Cycles through settings
Long Press: Exit
Short Press: Moves Down
MENU SCREEN
• Long press of middle button access /exits menu screen.
• Short press of front/rear button adjusts the selected
option up /down.
• Short press of middle button advances to the next
option (i.e. if the Skyport group setting was selected, it
would advance to the Skyport frequency. The selected
option blinks slowly so you know which one is active).
• If 20sec pass without a button press, the menu screen
will exit automatically.
OPERATING THE ELM8 FROM
EXTERNAL POWER
Light will operate best on external power if internal battery is
charged. If the light is run off wall power with an empty battery,
the extra heat generated while charging may cause the light to
operate at less than full power. For maximum lumen output, make
sure the battery is charged more than 50%.
* ELM8 will run at 6300 lumens max when plugged into AC / external DC to prevent
battery drain.
