General information General information Reading and storing the user manual This user manual accompanies this 20/40 V battery (referred to below only as “battery”). It contains important information about start-up and handling. Before using the battery, read the user manual carefully. This particularly applies to the safety instructions. Failure to observe this user manual can lead to serious injury or damage to the battery.

Inserting the battery 1. Push the battery into the battery holder of the power tool or charger. When pushing in, ensure that the contacts on the power tool or charger slot into the designated contact grooves on the battery and that the side guides on the battery slot into the designated grooves.
Removing the battery 1. Press the release button on the battery 2. Pull the battery out of the power tool or charger in the direction of the release button.

Allowing yourself to become distracted by checking the battery charge level increases the risk of accident and injury. − Never check the battery charge level and other functions while operating the power tool.

Charging the battery and checking the charge level − Always keep your eye on the power tool during operation. The battery has a charge level indicator with three LEDs, which indicate the charge level. − Press and hold the charge level test button to display the charge level.
