Using the optional DME control panel,
you can assign the action of menu
operations, and carry out wipe pattern
positioner operations. Furthermore, for
the auto chroma key function, you can not
only carry out positioner functions on the
sample mark, but also control its size. The
following describes these functions. For
details of functions and buttons relating to
DME operations, refer to the BZDM-7720/
3720 User's Guide.
Trackball: Press the MENU button,
turning it on, to assign the trackball to
control knob operations. Horizontal
movement (X) corresponds to knob 1,
and vertical movement (Y) to knob 2.
Z-ring: Press the MENU button, turning
it on, to assign the Z-ring to knob 3
operations. This function is used for
adjustment of the size of the sample
mark in the auto chroma key function.

MENU button: Press this button,
turning it on, to assign the trackball
and Z-ring to control knob operations,
for use as a positioner. Changing the
menu ends this assignment, but it is
possible to keep the trackball and Z-
ring assigned to the menu operations
by the following method.
Assigning the trackball and Z-ring
permanently to the control knobs
With the trackball and Z-ring
assigned to the control knobs, press
the MENU button twice in rapid
succession.
The MENU button lights green.
Now, switching to another menu
leaves the trackball and Z-ring
available for use as a positioner.
