Is the float switch adjustable? I need to turn on pump when only a few inches of water are in basin.

The manual does not specify whether the float switch on the Zoeller 1073-0001 model is adjustable to turn on the pump with only a few inches of water in the basin. It states that the pump will turn on when the water reaches the proper level but does not provide details on adjustability.
