(3) Checking the indoor unit addresses

All checking process are carried out from a wired remote controller.
After checking the addresses, attach an address number label to the indoor and outdoor units. (This is needed for sub-
sequent maintenance, so be certain to attach the labels)

Checking the indoor unit address from the position of the main body of the indoor unit
This check is carried out for individual operation (with wired remote controller and indoor unit one to one).
This check is carried out with the indoor unit operating.
Press the
If the indoor unit is operating do not press it.
Press the
• On the remote controller display "Unit No.
• The left side of this unit No. is the system (outdoor unit) address of the indoor unit, and the right side is the
indoor unit address.
Checking the position of the indoor unit from the indoor unit address
This is carried out when it is not individually operated (wired remote controller and indoor unit are connected one
to one).
<Method of checking the indoor unit address under group control>
This check is carried out with the indoor unit not operating.
Press the
If the indoor unit is stopped do not press it.
Press the button and
• "Unit No    " and "Item code   " are displayed on the remote controller.
• The fans of all the indoor units under group control start to operate.
Press the
• The initially displayed unit No. is the address of the main unit, and only the fan of the selected indoor unit
operates.
• Each time the

• Look for the indoor unit whose fan is operating. This indoor unit is the unit that is selected by the remote con-
troller.
Press the button.
The normal display of the remote controller is restored, and all the indoor units under group control are stopped.
