Troubleshooting Warnings and Error Codes
Use the table below to troubleshoot any issues with the machine. If the issue cannot be resolved,
contact Cold Jet at (see Contact Information on page 50). Warnings do not shut down the PLT 60.
Warnings will display in two states: yellow which means that an item is nearing a point that attention
must be given and red: which means that an item needs immediate attention.
Errors generally will cause the PLT 60 to go into idle. An error code will display in the status screen.
An error indicates a serious fault, shutting down the PLT 60 to prevent damage to the system or
an error serious in nature has occurred, in which case you will need to contact Cold Jet Customer
Service. The PLT 60 in error shut down will go into idle only mode.
Warning Definitions
Definition
No Air Pressure
Occurs when the air pressure is
less than 50 psi.
Low Air Pressure
Occurs when the air pressure is
less than the selected settings.
Doser Current Fault
Occurs when the current goes
above 4A. Becomes an error when
the current goes above 7A.
Feeder Current Fault
Occurs when the current goes
above 8A. Becomes an error when
the current goes above 15A.
Hopper Level
When the hopper is full, the
hopper display on the PLT 60
HMI will display as green. As the
hopper empties, the thermo-
couples in the hopper will warm
and go from green to yellow and
then to red, indicating that the
hopper is empty.

Corrective Action
y Check for sharp bends in air line
y Check compressor
y Check for sharp bends in air line
y Check supply pressure
y Replace air filter
y Select a pressure equal or lower than the supply pressure
y Shut down the PLT 60 and inspect the hopper for any foreign materials
y Remove the ice hopper and inspect that there is no foreign material or
blockage
y Verify that the ice pellets do not exceed 3mm in diameter
y Blaster hose clogged or frozen, clear the blaster hose and continue
operation
y Possible debris in the feeder system, shut down and perform a visual
inspection in the hopper and feeder rotors
y Possible motor trouble or gear wear, if fault continues contact customer
service
y Add ice to the hopper
y Shut down the PLT 60 and inspect the hopper for clumping or blockage
y Verify that the thumper is operational
y Increase the frequency of the thumper
