MAINTENANCE
• The roof box should be carefully cleaned and maintained, particularly in the winter months.
• For cleaning, use only water with a mild detergent which contains no additives
(such as alcohol, chlorine or ammonia) as these could damage the surface of the roof box.
• The locks should be lubricated with graphite or similar dry lubricant.
• Box should be protected from exposure to the elements during prolonged periods of storage.
• Box and fittings should be inspected periodically for damage.

When locking the carrier with the key locks, check to make sure the locks are engaged by attempting to lift the top.
- Page 3 AERO 1300 A26395 With the help of another person place box on roof rack. Slide forward or backward to position mounting slots properly over crossbars. Note: Mount box towards the rear of the vehicle to minimize wind resistance. If crossbars are adjustable, set to widest position which can be accommodated by mounting slots.
- Page 4 AERO 1300 A26395 Position saddles under the crossrails and push the saddle back over the carriage bolt and slide it forward until it stops. Turn knobs clockwise and tighten equally and securely. To remove carrier from roof rack, loosen knobs, slide saddles until they separate from carriage bolts.
