  • Page 19 Turning the Light On and Off Press the top button once to turn the system light on. Press the top button and hold for 1 second to turn the system off.
  • Page 20 Understanding the Light Settings Tap the Power button once to enable the Low light setting. Tap the Power button a second time to enable the Medium light setting. Tap the Power button a third time to enable the High light setting.
  • Page 21 Toggle Between White and Amber Press the White / Amber button once to use white light. Press the button again to toggle to the cure-safe Amber light mode.
  • Page 22 Using the Power Vacuum Base To use the Isolite 3, turn the control dial on the PVB to the “9 o’clock” position. This is the most common setting on the PVB for most practices.
  • Page 23 Using the Power Vacuum Base Turn the control dial to the “12 o’clock” position to allow suction only through the accessory line. In this mode, the Isolite 3 will not have any suction.
  • Page 24 Turn the control dial to the “6 o’clock” position to allow suction to pass through the Isolite 3 and the accessory port. Choose this option when you want to use both the Isolite 3 and another accessory attached to an HVE.
  • Page 25 Using the Power Vacuum Base Turn the control dial to the “3 o’clock” position to prevent any suction from passing through the PVB. Choose this option when disconnecting the hose from the PVB.
  • Page 26 Removing the Selection Dial To remove the selection dial, rotate it clockwise past the “Off” indicator. The dial will stop rotating, lift up on the selection dial to remove it. To replace, insert the selection dial into the PVB and rotate counter-clockwise.
  • Page 27 Connecting and Removing the Vacuum Light Pipe The Vacuum Light Pipe on the Isolite 3 slides up and down at a slight angle. When removing a Vacuum Light Pipe for cleaning, press the Easy Release Latch and then lift up on the Vacuum Light Pipe.
  • Page 28 Using the Dual Level Controls Dual Vacuum Levers adjust suction intensity in both the upper and lower quadrants. To adjust, rotate the left and right Vacuum Levers to the desired suction intensity for each quadrant. To shut off suction, rotate the levers to the most downward position.

  • Page 33 Mouthpiece Sizing Instruct your patient to open as wide as they can comfortably. Use your fingers to measure their interincisal opening or use calipers or another measuring device. Once you have determined a size, open the Mouthpiece bag in front of your patient to assure them it has never been used before.

  • Page 45 Disinfecting the Control Head & Hose Following the manufacturer’s instructions for contact time, use an intermediate level disinfectant wipe with a claim to inactivate Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Otherwise, use a hospital-grade disinfectant on all surfaces of the Control Head and the Control Head Hose to remove all visible biomatter and debris.
  • Page 46 Sterilizing the Vacuum Light Pipe Zyris recommends sterilization of the Isolite 3 Vacuum Light Pipe between each patient. Remove biomatter and other debris from the suction channels using a brush with a neutral pH (6.5-7.5) enzymatic cleaning solution. Do not use solution to hold parts.
