Possible causes for the Hurco Spin Doctor 400 struggling under hydraulic load despite stable pressure at 1,800 psi could include:
1. Hydraulic Hose or Tube Leaks – Check all hydraulic hose and tube connections for leaks, especially after 8 hours of operation. 2. Low Hydraulic Fluid Level – Ensure the hydraulic tank sight glass shows an adequate fluid level and replenish if necessary. 3. Dirty or Clogged Hydraulic Filter – If the in-tank hydraulic fluid filter has not been replaced as recommended, it may be restricting flow. 4. Worn or Loose Connections – Visually inspect and physically check bolts and connections weekly to ensure proper function. 5. Component Wear or Damage – Internal wear in hydraulic components, such as valves or the pump, could reduce efficiency. 6. Improper Greasing – Lack of lubrication at pivot points may increase resistance and reduce performance.
Regular maintenance, as detailed in the manual, should help address these potential issues.
