    Section 2 SECTION 2 – GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTION OF THE UNIT This equipment is an Over-counter post mix dispenser to dispense chilled Carbonated Beverages. The equipment is freestanding and contains a refrigeration system for cooling the product, a carbonation system for carbonating mains water and syrup pumps to draw syrup from a bag in box syrup.

Place the unit in a convenient location on the counter top or back-bar where it is to be sited and within reach of an accessible power supply socket. Always site the equipment on a horizontal level surface of sufficient size to support the unit without it overhanging. Please read and follow these instructions carefully.
  • Page 14 Section 3 ALBI ALL-CARB SET UP AND PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS STILL/ SODA STILL SODA Albi all-carb keypad (note this keypad is also used on the all still unit) When in programming mode, the keypad is used to adjust and set the various options for dispense of still and carbonated drinks.
  • Page 15 Section 3 2. Putting the unit into programming mode Plug the unit into the mains power supply and the initialising screen below will be displayed. Within four seconds of powering up the unit, press and hold buttons 1 & 4 and the first setting screen will be displayed which is detailed in section 4. 3.
  • Page 16 Section 3 4. Syrup pump priming screen The function of this screen allows the syrup tubing, pumps and syrup cooling coils to be primed through to the dispense valve prior to brixing and also when changing bag in boxes, if the lines have been completely emptied.
  • Page 17 Section 3 Note: The carbonated water flow rate should be set first and then the syrup flow rates. Soda Flow Rate Test Pour: Ensuring there is a cup under the dispense nozzle, press the soda button to activate a 7 second soda test pour. Measure the volume dispensed, then adjust the dispense valve flow rate. See section below: Calculation of carbonated water flow The Albi unit finished drink flow rate is typically designed to pour at 1.5oz/sec.
  • Page 18 Section 3 Whilst still in the brix screen, using button 2(-) & 3(+) select the syrup flavour to brix. Press button. This will take you to the screen to adjust the syrup pump voltage: Example: 2V4 equates to 2.4 volts. With a measuring cup / brix cup, under the dispense nozzle, press button 4.
  • Page 19 Section 3 7. Disable carbonated water dispense. Press button +3+ to move to the disable carbonated water function. This feature allows you to disable the carbonated water dispense button. Press button 4 to access the menu. A tick in the box shows that the carb and still water dispense is enabled.

This screen allows you to set each flavour to either a still drink, a carbonated drink or to disable the dispense button. Undo the single splash back retaining screw and remove the splash back by pulling it from the bottom and lifting it up.

  • Page 31 Section 3 ALBI AQUA – Installation & Commissioning Information on the correct siting of the unit can be found in the first two paragraphs of Section 3 of the ALBI 4 Installation Manual. Follow the instructions below for connecting the utilities and commissioning… • Allow sufficient space at the rear of the unit for connecting the water and CO2 supplies, and the mains power supply cable and plug. • Allow sufficient space above the unit to remove the top cover for filling the water bath.

Remove the red bath fill cap, and carefully fill the water bath with clean cold water, via a funnel, until a trickle of water is seen exiting the overflow tube into the drip tray (see Figs.3 & 4)…The fill volume is approximately 10 litres.     Section 4 Section 4 – Maintenance and cleaning • Service & Maintenance of the equipment should only be carried out by Welbilt (Halesowen) Limited. trained, competent, technicians, abiding by all the relevant statutory regulations and industry recommendations. • Before removing the panels from the equipment the mains supply must be disconnected, either by removal of the plug from the wall socket, or in the case of hard wired equipment, switched off at the isolator. In both cases the equipment must be locked off to prevent the equipment inadvertently being...
  • Page 36 Section 4 For the UK please follow the procedure below: BASIC INSPECTION CHECKS BY THE END USER DAILY: 1. Remove the dispense nozzle from the dispense valve and sanitise using unscented bleach or commercial sanitizer with hot water to a concentration of 100ppm available chlorine.
  • Page 37 Section 4 ALBI 4 –DISPENSE FONT CLEANING - “INSTALLED UNITS” Before “ANY” work is carried out on MBS equipment the following rules must be adhered to. 1. “NEVER” work on any “LIVE” electrical equipment! 2. Switch the unit off at the mains supply socket! 3. Unplug the unit from the mains supply socket and ensure that the plug cannot be accidently plugged back into the mains while work is being carried out on the unit! 4.
  • Page 38 Section 4 Grip the base of the splash back, and pull forwards. The splash back will pull away from the tower. When the bottom of the splash back is free, pull the splash back downwards to free from the dispense tower. The screws for removing the membrane switch panel are now accessable.
  • Page 39 Section 4 Remove the two screws from the membrane panel. The membrane panel will now lift out of the tower. Note: Don’t pull away from the unit until USB lead is disconnected (see below). Disconnect the USB lead from the back of the display.
  • Page 40 Section 4 Remove the two screws securing the dispense valve in place. Remove the 4 screws securing the bottom of the font to the front panel of the appliance. Remove the screw securing the top of the font to the front panel of the appliance. Take hold of the bottom of the font assembly and lift upwards until the font comes free of the front of the unit.

The drain pan must be in place under soda valves, to carry away detergent and sanitizing agents that will be flushed through valves. BAG-IN-BOX SYSTEM SANITATION The procedure below is for the sanitation of one syrup circuit at a time. Repeat to sanitize additional circuits.
