Problem
After switching on, one
of the following
messages appears:
Automatic cleaning could
not be carried out. Start
automatic cleaning (duration
min.) now? Otherwise
automatic cleaning will be
permanently switched off.
Or:
Automatic maintenance
could not be carried out.
Carry out the automatic
cleaning part of the
automatic maintenance
programme (duration min.)
now? Otherwise the
automatic cleaning part of
the automatic maintenance
programme will be
permanently switched off.
Drinks cannot be made.
Possible cause and remedy
Automatic cleaning could not be carried out twice.
If you still want the coffee machine to clean the milk
pipework and degrease the brew unit automatically:
 Make sure that the coffee machine is ready to use
for automatic maintenance (see "Automatic
cleaning and descaling").
 Touch OK to start automatic cleaning.
If you select No and therefore switch off automatic
cleaning, you must manually clean the milk pipework
and degrease the brew unit (see "Cleaning and care").
To do this, you require the Cleaning agent for milk
pipework and tablets for degreasing the brew unit.
