Questions and answers
How do I make the surround speakers to play simultaneously with the front speakers
To set up the Sony STR-DE375 so that the surround speakers play simultaneously with the front speakers, follow these steps:
1. Connect the Speakers
- Connect the front left and right speakers to the corresponding terminals.
- Connect the surround left and right speakers to the surround speaker terminals.
- If you have a center speaker, connect it to the center speaker terminal.
2. Select the Appropriate Sound Mode
- If you have surround speakers but no center speaker, select PHANTOM mode. This mode directs the center channel audio to the front speakers while still using the surround speakers.
- Use the Pro Logic Surround mode to enable surround sound with a Dolby Pro Logic source.
3. Input Multi-Channel Audio
- Use the DVD/MULTI CH (L, R) jacks to connect a Dolby Digital decoder, DVD player with a built-in Dolby Digital decoder, or TV satellite receiver for multi-channel audio.
4. Test the Speaker Output
- Use the test tone function to ensure that the sound alternates between the front and surround speakers correctly.
This setup allows the surround and front speakers to work together to create a surround sound experience.
