Make sure to charge your CLIÉ handheld before using it for the first time.
Step 1: Charging your Sony CLIÉ™ handheld

Connect the AC power adapter to the DC IN connector of
the plug adapter.

Connect the plug adapter to the interface connector of
your CLIÉ handheld.

Connect the AC power adapter to the wall outlet.
The LED indicator of your CLIÉ handheld turns on and the
is displayed on the screen.
It takes about four hours for your CLIÉ handheld to be fully charged for the first time.
The LED indicator of your CLIÉ handheld turns off when charging is complete. The
icon will be displayed when you disconnect the AC power adapter from the wall
outlet.
