MODALITÀ "PUMP DOWN"
La modalità "Pump Down" serve per recuperare nell'unità
esterna il fluido refrigerante controllando la valvola ed il
compressore.
Questa funzione viene impiegata quando bisogna rimuove-
re l'unità per reinstallarla, per inviarla in riparazione, etc.
A tutela dell'ambiente, non tagliare i collegamenti frigoriferi
tra unità interne ed esterna, rilasciando il refrigerante
nell'aria.
Modalità d'impiego:
- Inserire il magnetotermico
- Controllare che i led (51 - 52 per MIH180C; 50 - 51 - 52
per MIH240C) sulla scheda dell'unità esterna lampeggino
in modo sincrono e lento (1 lampeggio a secondo).
- Spegnere le unità interne, se sono in funzione, e collegare
il manometro alla presa di pressione della valvola del gas
- Rimuovere l'aria nel tubo del manometro
- Premere il pulsante "Pump Down" (SW51) sulla scheda
per più di 5 secondi. Le unità iniziano ad operare in
modalità "Pump Down", sulle unità interne lampeggia
l'indicatore rosso di funzionamento e vengono emessi tre
beep.
- Dopo 5 minuti, chiudere completamente la valvola della
linea del liquido
- Chiudere a metà la valvola della linea del gas
- Lasciare funzionare le unità per 40 / 60 secondi. Quando
sul manometro si legge una pressione di circa 0,5
kgf/cm , chiudere immediatamente la valvola del gas

- Premere il pulsante "Pump Down" (SW51) sulla scheda.
Le unità smetteranno di funzionare
- Sconnettere il manometro
- Rimettere i cappucci alle prese delle valvole
- Aspettare almeno 90 secondi dopo che è terminata la pro-
cedura del "Pump Down" e chiudere il magnetotermico.
N.B. :
- Se si lascia l'unità in funzione con una pressione inferiore
a 0,5 kgf/cm , le unità interne possono raggiungere una

pressione negativa e, quindi, l'umidità e la polvere
nell'aria possono entrare nelle unità interne.

"PUMP DOWN" MODE
Pump down is to collect the refrigerant into the outdoor unit
by control the stop valve and the compressor.
This method is adopted in the case of unit removal for re-
installation, repair, etc.
For environmental protection, do not cut the pipes connecting
the indoor and outdoor unit and release the refrigerant into air.
How to use:
- Turn the circuit breaker on
- Check that the leds (51 - 52 for MIH180C; 50 - 51 - 52 for
MIH240C) on the display board unit are flashing synchro-
nously in a slow (one flash per second) cycle
- Stop the air conditioner operation if any indoor unit opera-
tes and connect the gauge manifold hose to the service port
of the stop valve (Gas side)
- Remove the air in the hose
- Press the "Pump Down" switch (SW51) on the display
board unit for 5 seconds or more. The indoor/outdoor unit
will start operation in the "Pump Down" mode. The red
operation lamp on the indoor unit will flash and three beep
will be emitted.
- After 5 minutes, fully close the stop valve (liquid side) by
turning the hexagon socket screw key clockwise
- Close the stop valve (gas side) to half closed position
- Keep running the air conditioner for 40 / 60 seconds. When
the pressure of the compound gauge reads 0.5 kgf/cm
then immediately fully close the stop valve (gas side)
- Press the "Pump Down" switch (SW51) in the display
board unit for 5 seconds or more. The operation of all
indoor units and outdoor unit will stop.
- Disconnect the gauge manifold hose from the service port
- Replace the service port cap and the both valve shafts caps
tightly
- Wait more than 90 seconds after finishing pump down, and
turn off the circuit breaker.
N.B. :
- If you run the air conditioner until the pressure drops below
0.5 kgf/cm 2 , indoor unit side becomes negative pressure. As
a result, moisture or dust in the air will enter into the indoor
unit.
