6. SYSTEM MODE

6.5 Self-Test Printing / Dump Mode

Your printer can run a self-test to print a configuration label, which helps you understand the current settings
of your printer.
6.5.1 Self-Test
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press and hold the [FEED] button while turning on the printer.
3. Both status lights (LED 1 and LED 2) will light up in the following order:
Orange  Green  Other colour sequences
4. Release the [FEED] button when LED 1 turns to orange and LED2 turns to green.
5. Press the [FEED] button to print a configuration label.
Your printer has two emulation languages: TPCL and ZPL. The figures below show their configuration
labels.
NOTE:
For B-FV4D-GL, self-test printing cannot be performed while the label is being detected by the
Cutter Sensor in the Cutter Unit.
In such case, return the label to its waiting position by following the procedure below and then
perform self-test printing.
1. Turn off the printer and then back on. Start the printer in the online mode.
2. Press the [FEED] button to return the label to its waiting position.
3. Turn off the printer.
