Set the screw aside before you remove the cover; otherwise, the screw might fall inside the control module. If
this occurs, you might have to return the control module to Dell for servicing.
4. Using the screw tab as a handle, swing the battery cover up and to the left and lay it upside down on the
control module

5. The connector that connects to the battery unit is held in place by a retaining clip, which must be depressed
to remove the connector, as shown in

Set the old battery unit aside.
