10. TROUBLESHOTTING

10.1 SILENTWIND Pro
Possible cause
Not enough wind
Brake is ON
Bad extension cables /
bad crimping
Slip Ring Problem
Wind Generator Head
problem
Wrong Settings
In order to find the problem, you must check the installation chain starting at the 3 wires of the
SILENTWIND Pro connected to the Hybrid Boost Charge Controller.
Follow the disassembling sequence explained on chapter 4.5 DISSASEMBLY SEQUENCE. If the wind
generator starts to rotate (without connection to the Hybrid Boost Charge Controller) the failure is
between the extension cables to Hybrid Boost Charge Controller or to the battery.

Test
Measure the wind
speed (anemometer)
at the same height as
the wind generator.
See if the Brake LED is
ON or the "BRAKE"
message is on the LCD
screen
Check the terminals
Check the cables
resistance.
Test the resistance
between the three AC
cables.
Follow the
disassembling
sequence.
Check the

detailed information.

Solution
Wait for more wind
(Start up speed from 2.2 m/s).
Turn the Brake OFF on the charge
controller or on the Silentwind APP.
Check all 3 AC cables.
Clean the Slip Ring
Replace of a new one.
Set the parameters accordingly
