In this way you can ensure that your child's safety and the safety of others will be maximised, and that your child will get the most benefit possible from the freedom of movement a SnapDragon gives.
One of the things the SnapDragon will do is enable the child to help and to join in with what is going on, maybe by fetching and carrying - don't forget the carrying platform on the back when you go shopping.

If the batteries are seriously flat, a buzzer in the main servo unit will sound. This is intended as a deterrent to use. The SnapDragon should not be used until the batteries are re-charged (see section on Battery Care).

SnapDragon using the Jack-Leg located under the Gear-Box on the inside of the wheel; flip it down from its spring catch and lift the SnapDragon on to it, rolling it forward to lock it in place. Now undo the three nuts holding the wheel with a 17mm spanner.
To begin with, practice doing this without a seat, as this will reduce the weight. Then try with the empty seat attached. Dragonmobility do not recommend adjusting the tilt angle with the seat occupied because the attendant will need to counterbalance the weight of the user and seat while the lock is undone and there is no safety catch.
Again, the elevator will continue to work, but extra strain may be put on the remaining two belts, so it is inadvisable to use the SnapDragon. If a third belt were to fail, a triple beeper will sound. The elevator carriage and seat would still be held on the final belt, but on no account should the SnapDragon be used in this case.
Disassembly of all these elements leaves the SnapDragon in five pieces plus the seat which can all be stored separately for transport. However, depending on the type of vehicle, less operations may be required.
Loading the SnapDragon using Ramps In order to load the SnapDragon up ramps into the back of an estate car or similar vehicle, it is necessary to remove the seat. In order to do this, first lift the user into the car seat and make sure that he is safe.

For added security, you may also wish to operate the manual brakes (see Fig:9). The other parts of the SnapDragon, i.e. the seat and elevator, can then be lifted into the luggage compartment and packed carefully with padding to avoid any damage to paintwork or fibreglass.
Don't forget to return the performance knob to the correct setting for the user's needs, once the powerbase is out of the car before the SnapDragon is driven. The following operations may be necessary in order to reassemble your SnapDragon.
