The Panomap Analysis integrates data from the Macular Thickness Analysis, RNFL and
ONH Analysis and the Ganglion Cell OU Analysis to provide a wide–field perspective for
comprehensive posterior segment analysis.
1 Information about the macular
cube and optic disc cube used for
the analysis
2 ETDRS macular thickness grid with
normative data comparison
3 Registered macular and optic disc
LSO Fundus images with overlay
For Posterior Segment analysis the LSO Fundus image is automatically registered from the
selected scan type Macular Cube or Optic Disc and by default, overlays the composite
image with an RNFL thickness map created with that data.
Three overlay options are available:
• ONH/RNFL thickness map (from either an optic disc cube or macular cube scan)
• GC+IP layer thickness map (from a selected macular cube scan)
• ILM–RPE layer thickness map (from a selected macular cube scan)
The default PanoMap view shows both an RNFL deviation map as well as a deviation map
with GC+IP layer thickness.
The RNFL deviation map includes:
• the RNFL extraction circle
4 GCL + IPL Thickness grid with
normative data comparison
5 Combined GCA and RNFL deviation

The Zeiss CIRRUS HD-OCT 500 measures central corneal thickness (CCT) using OCT imaging. The device provides pachymetry scans for this purpose. To measure CCT:

1. Use the Pachymetry Scan mode available on the CIRRUS HD-OCT 500.
2. Ensure proper alignment by centering the scan lines correctly.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to capture the scan.
4. The device will generate a measurement, which may differ slightly from ultrasound pachymetry.

OCT devices generally measure thinner than ultrasound pachymetry, with a reported mean difference of approximately -9.06 μm.

The manual does not explicitly describe the process of backing up data from the Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT 500 to an external hard drive. However, it does mention archiving data to a network-attached storage device or keeping paper records as a backup. It also provides instructions for exporting audit log files, which may be useful for data backup. To export audit log files:

1. Log on as an administrator.
2. Click Tools > Export Audit Log File.
3. In the Browse For Folder window, select the destination folder on the external hard drive.
4. Click Save to export the log as a .zip file.

For a full data backup, it is recommended to consult Zeiss service personnel for proper procedures.
