Rear Wheel Alignment and Drive
Belt Tension Adjustment
The indicators of a misaligned drive belt and rear
wheel are screeching or clicking during travel or
screeching/chirping during acceleration. Other
indicators include the need for early drive belt
replacement, and excessive wear on the left or right
edges of the belt.
While belt tension and rear wheel alignment are
achieved by adjusting the rear axle, it is important
that rear wheel alignment NOT be compromised
during these procedures.
