Likely Cause
Low oil level.
Reservoir too small.
Dirty oil.
Relief valve stuck open.
Relief valve improperly set.
Wrong pump for application.
(Walking floor, ejector trailer,
live bottom trailer.)
PTO left engaged.
Low oil level.
Loose inlet fitting.
Damaged shaft seal.
Leak in inlet hose.
Improper tank baffle.
No sleeve in inlet port (3 line systems)
Fill reservoir.
Increase reservoir size.
Replace oil and filter.
Remove, clean, and re-set.
Adjust relief valve.
Replace with correct model.
Dump pumps should be used only with
dump bodies.
Review operating procedures.
Fill reservoir.
Tighten fitting.
Replace seal.
Replace hose.
Install baffle or diffuser.
Install conversion sleeve.
