13. NEXYGEN PLUS 3 DIAGNOSTICS

13.1

General

The main use of the internal Engineer's Diagnostic Mode is to calibrate a loadcell or an
extensometer.
It is also required to reprogram the EEPROM on the Motor Drive PCB if this has been replaced
during servicing.
THE DIAGNOSTIC MODES ARE SPECIFICALLY FOR SERVICE ENGINEERS AND IT IS VERY
IMPORTANT THAT CUSTOMERS DO NOT USE OR ARE INFORMED OF THESE FEATURES.
WARNING
CARE MUST BE TAKEN to ensure that accidental damage does not occur to either the
mainframe, loadcell or calibration equipment when calibrating a loadcell.
13.2

Selecting the NEXYGEN Plus 3 Diagnostic Mode

The NEXYGEN Plus 3 software console has a new feature called "ENGINEER" and this provides
the Diagnostic Mode features.
1 Connect the NEXYGEN Plus 3 console to an LS Series machine, right mouse click on
the software console then select "Engineer" as shown below: -
Note that the "Engineer" menu option is not displayed when connected to older
machines.
2 Enter "98410" as the password then click on the OK button.
