RD1 Functionality

When power is applied to the unit, it requires four minutes to stabilise. During this
time the Detector Active LED will flash. When this is completed normal operation is
indicated by the Detector Active LED (green) continually lit.

If the refrigerant level increases above the 250ppm level, the Low Level Alarm LED
will flash. If the refrigerant level stays above the 250ppm level for 10 minutes then the
Low Level Alarm LED (yellow) will light. Also a fault code (B5) will be generated and
sent to all Toshiba Controllers attached.

If the refrigerant level increases above the 1000ppm level, the High Level Alarm LED
will flash. If the refrigerant level stays above the 1000ppm level for 10 minutes then
the following will occur: High Level Alarm LED (red) will light. A fault code (B6) will be
generated and sent to all Toshiba Controllers attached. The alarm relay (Shutdown
LED will light) will open circuit, which can be connected to drive solenoid isolation
valves. A piercing alarm will also sound in the room to warn any occupants that a
potentially dangerous amount of refrigerant is being released into the room.
