1. remove the plastic belt cover (4) on the
front of the engine by removing two m6 × 16
bolts (5) (fig. 21).
2. remove clip and washer (fig. 22a), pull
support rod ½ way out from other side of
snowblower (fig. 22b).

3. remove the 2 bolts (20 mm/30 mm) holding
the belt guard (fig. 23). note the spring is
loose at this point.

4. Carefully pivot the snowblower up and
forward so that it rests on the auger
housing. Place a piece of cardboard or
moving blanket on the ground before
tipping forward. make sure all fluids are
removed and spark plug is disconnected.
