Components outside of the smart immobilizer are:
11. MICU: This Body controller supplies a secret key which is requested by the RxM. The secret key is
exchanged via the S-Net interface line.
12. ECM (Engine control module): This module supplies a secret key which is requested by the RxM.
The secret key is exchanged via the S-Net interface line.
13. Transponder IC in the key. The IC is connected to a parallel resonant circuit formed by the
transponder coil (14) and a capacitor. It derives its power supply from the magnetic field established
by the immobilizer. The IC
signals received from the immobilizer and by sending data to the immobilizer via ASK (amplitude shift keying)
modulation.
14. Transponder coil in the key: This coil is magnetically coupled at 125 kHz to the LF antenna (4).

The RxM consists of the following parts:
1. Housing including LF antenna, RF antenna and pins for the PCB and connector
