To clean the brush area of the Shark Navigator Lift-Away, you can cut tangled hair and debris using a razor blade or scissors and then pull it out with pliers. Focus on the ends of the brush and underneath the rods. The brush roll has grooves and plastic combs to help prevent hair tangling. The vacuum does not easily come apart for cleaning due to special screws, so removing the brush roll may require specific tools.

Your Shark Navigator Lift-Away may have stopped sucking up dirt due to one of the following reasons:

1. Dirty Filters – Clogged filters can reduce suction. Clean or replace them as needed.
2. Full Dust Cup – Empty the dust cup to restore suction.
3. Object Stuck – Check for blockages in the hose, tubes, or roller brush.
4. Hissing Tubes – This may indicate an air leak, reducing suction.
5. Suction Release Valve Misaligned – Ensure the valve is fully closed for maximum suction.

Check these areas and clean or clear any blockages to restore performance.
