Troubleshooting

Symptom
Pump will not prime.
Pump will not pump.
Probable Cause(s)
There are leaks in the suction line.
Water being pumped is more than
6 feet below the pump.
Pump was not properly primed.
Corrective Action
Be certain all connections are air tight.
Test the connections by putting soap suds
on them. If there is a leak, the soap suds
will be sucked into the loose fittings.
Move the pump closer to the water being
pumped.
Refer to the steps for priming the pump in
Installation.
