Intended use: The product Fame DD-One Simon Philips was designed for use as an electronic drum set. By striking the pads, an electronic module simulates an artificial drum sound in various forms and optionally reproduces it via headphones or external speakers. The device may only be used for this purpose and in accordance with the operating instructions.

Congratulations! Thank you for purchasing the Digital Drum Set DD-One Simon Philips Edition. This drum set is designed to be used and played like a real drum set, but with a greater ease. Before turning on the instrument, we recommend that you read this manual carefully.

Setup Caution! To prevent electric shock and damage to drum module or other devices, always turn off the power of all devices before making any connections. Selecting a Drumkit (KIT) DrumVoc: With this setting you determine whether a drum set sounds when you hit the pad used to start the pattern. ON: Default setting. When the pad is struck, the pattern is started and the sound of the pad also sounds. OFF: Only the pattern is played.

Using the mixer (MIXER) Total volume, song volume, metronome volume, cards volume and MIDI volume can be adjusted in the mixer menu. Master Volume 1. Press the MIXER button to enter the Mixer menu. 2. Press the PAGE +/- buttons to select "SongVol", "ClickVol" or "CardVol".
RECORD Up to 94 user songs can be recorded. Each song has 7 recording tracks (Drum + Percussion + Part1~Part5), whereby Part1~Part5 can only be recorded via MIDI IN. Recording a new song 1. Select a new song (there is a "*" behind the title) and then press the REC button to enter the recording menu.
RECORD Recording Part1~Part5 Connect the MIDI keyboard (or other MIDI device, such as a computer) to the MIDI IN connector on the digital drum. Press ((PLAY/STOP)) to start recording. The MIDI channels from 12-16 will be recorded according to the corresponding part. 2.

Setting the Metronome (CLICK) Click on/off You can turn the Click Sound on or off by pressing CLICK. CLICK lights up while the Click Sound is playing. Please note: CLICK does not work in DEMO mode. Click Settings 1. You can access the Click Settings menu by holding down MENU and pressing CLICK.

Pad and Trigger Settings (UTILITY) You can adjust the parameters of each drum pad and cymbal in the Trigger menu. You can select each trigger by pressing the corresponding trigger or the drum buttons on the control panel. 1. Press the (UTILITY) button to enter the UTILITY menu. The display will show TRIGGER.

Pad and Trigger Settings (UTILITY) Curve (Trigger Curve) This setting lets you control the ratio between velocity and volume changes (Dynamic Curve). Adjust this curve until the resonance feels as natural as possible. Normal: The default setting. This ensures a natural match between the intensity of the stroke and the change in volume.
Effect Settings (REVERB/EQ) You can adjust the reverb effect and the 4 band EQ parameters in the "Effect" menu. 1. Press (UTILITY) and then the (Page+) button to select the Effect menu. 2. Then press (SAVE/ENTER) and then (Page+)/(Page-) to select the parameter to be set.

Press (SAVE/ENTER), then press (Page+)/(Page-) to select "ResetPara" or "ResetAll". 3. Press (SAVE/ENTER) to save the settings. Resets only general settings (MIXER, UTILITY, Trigger, CLICK, Song Setup, etc.) Resets the general settings and all user songs and user kits.
SD Cards Operation (CARD) Searching the SD Card 1. Press the (CARD) button until it lights. The folders and sup- ported files will be displayed. The digital drum supports *.MID, *.KIT, *.SNG, *.SET files. 2. If you press the (+)/(-) button or turn the control dial, you can browse the files in the folders.
SD Cards Operation (CARD) File Handling With the SD card menu you can easily delete a file, recall the old settings, format the card or load your favorite song as a user song into the digital drum. 1. Press the (MENU) button while browsing the map to enter the Map menu.
SD Cards Operation (CARD) Please note: Only MIDI files with a size up to 32kb can be loaded. Only SMF 1 is supported. Up to 7 channels of the MIDI file can be used in shot or loop mode. For TAP or HIT only 1 channel can be used.

MIDI Settings About MIDI MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a standard that al- lows you to exchange data and information between electronic musical instruments and computers. With a MIDI cable and a device equipped with MIDI connections, you can play different instruments with a single keyboard, have multiple instruments play as an ensemble to automatically change the settings of the kits, adjust performance during the song, and much more.
