- Page 2 Device preparation and placement Remove the staple retainer from the instrument Position tissue to be cut and stapled between the anvil and the cartridge. If the tissue doesn’t fit comfortably by pushing on the pad labeled “Push to Remove.” within the jaws, you should consider two firings. Device is reloadable to complete a single transection with multiple firings when needed.
