  • Page 19 Step #2: PLACING JORDY ON YOUR HEAD We suggest two methods for placing Jordy on your head. Please refer to the labeled examples below. AVOID FORCIBLY SPREADING JORDY TEMPLE ARMS TO FIT JORDY OVER YOUR HEAD. 1. Back to Front Method: Place the temple arms behind your ears and gently slide the Jordy main assembly forward until it rests comfortably on your nose.

    Please note the higher the zoom level the more sensitive the camera image will be. Hold your reading material about 4.5 to 11.5 inches” away from the Jordy so you can see the text in focus. As one magnifies the minimum working focus distance of the Jordy increases.

    BATTERY ICONS AND AC ADAPTER The battery icons below appear as needed on your Jordy as On Screen Display Elements. To access the On demand battery indicator press and hold the “Mode” & “Zoom –“ buttons for 3 seconds to check your battery.

    It is recommended to leave the unit charging overnight when the unit is not in use to maintain a continuous charge on the battery. This way, your Jordy will always be ready for portable use. Please note it is not possible to overcharge the included battery.

    TURNING THE POWER ON/OFF Use the following procedure to turn the power of your Jordy ON or OFF or set the device to Standby: Find the Green Power button on the side of the unit. (See Figure 1) 1. ON: Press the Green Power button for 1 second or more to turn the Jordy ON.

    USING THE JORDY In order to use your Jordy you should ensure that the battery is fully charged (As indicated in the previous section). Then turn the device ON via power button while the device is already placed on your head. It is also recommended that you configure the device settings ideally for your personal eye condition.
  • Page 30 One of the first things you will want to do when viewing a target is adjust the magnification or zoom to suit your needs. In the center of the Jordy control console there are two tactile buttons with a “Plus” sign and a “Minus” sign. These buttons are referred to as the Zoom buttons.

     It takes several seconds for the video input signal to show on your Jordy headset after you connect the HDMI cable. Until then you will see a HDMI logo as in Fig 1. If you do not see any video from your video equipment after 20seconds your video equipment may need to be manually configured to output 720p video.

If you do not see an image on the screen please proceed to step 2. 2. Next restore your normal HDMI connections between your media player and your TV directly without Jordy.
