Sprite Backup Utility
Sprite Backup helps you protect the data on your Pocket
PC from data loss due to hardware failure, drained battery
or accidental deletion. Use Sprite Backup to create a
backup copy of your Pocket PC's data to a safe location. If
data on your Pocket PC is accidentally erased or
overwritten or the battery time expires, you can easily
restore the data from a backup copy.
Basic Mode and Advanced Mode
Sprite Backup has two modes, Basic and Advanced. The
first time you run Sprite Backup, it is in Basic Mode. To
switch between the modes, select Options at the bottom
of your screen, then select Switch to Advanced Mode or
Switch to Basic Mode.
Basic Mode
Basic Mode is the default mode with an easy to use
interface for making a backup with the minimum of effort.
The Basic Mode screen displays the date and time that
your last backup was created and allows you to backup
your entire Pocket PC with the tap of a button.
Advanced Mode
Advanced Mode allows you to select the data you want
backed up, schedule regular backups, and enable
automatic backup when your battery is low. You can also
enable encryption and compression, and enable the
automatic maintenance of existing backup files.
To access the Sprite Backup Utility, follow these steps:
