To customize your keyboard:
Windows 10 and 8.1

Type Control Panel in the search box.
NOTE:
In Windows 10, click or tap the search icon to access the search box. In Windows 8.1, access the Search charm to
access the search box.

Click Control Panel.

If your Control Panel is displayed by Category, click or tap on the View by: drop-down menu and select Small icons or Large icons.

Click or tap Keyboard.

Adjust the keyboard settings you want to change and click or tap OK to save the settings and close the window.
Windows 7

Click Start > Control Panel.

If your Control Panel is displayed by Category, click the View by: drop-down menu and select Small icons or Large icons.

Click Keyboard.

Adjust the keyboard settings you want to change and click OK to save the settings and close the window.
Using numeric keypad on a laptop

Numeric keypad
Your laptop may have a numeric keypad integrated into the keyboard. The keypad corresponds to the keypad on an extended keyboard.
•
To type a number or symbol, press and hold Fn and press the desired key.
•
To enable the numeric keypad, press Num Lock. The Num Lock light indicates that the keypad is active.
•
To disable the numeric keypad, press Num Lock again.
NOTE:
Some laptops may have a dedicated numeric keypad.
