GPS and GSM
The tracker uses GPS satellites (Global Positioning System) for precise
determination of its position . Under certain circumstances, for example;
in buildings, the tracker may not be able to receive a sufficient GPS signal .
In this case, it will use the GSM mobile phone network to determine its
position . Since the positioning by GSM is less precise than using GPS, it
will only be used when GPS signal is not available .
Instruction Code and Phone Guardian Password
To control the tracker, you can send SMS messages that contain a
specific command code . These short messages must come from a
particular phone number, called Phone Guardian, which you will set
beforehand . The tracker will ignore messages sent from another mobile
phone . (Exceptions are described in the relevant sections)
The command code sent consist of a sequence of numbers and
characters as well as a password – a 4 digit number code that you can
also specify during setup .
