Restart or reset your SHIELD
In certain situations, you may need to restart your SHIELD or reset it to factory settings.
Restart
To restart:
1.
Hold the NVIDIA button on SHIELD for 6 seconds. This is power off the unit.
2.
Tap the NVIDIA button to turn SHIELD back on.

Reset to factory settings

Important: By performing a factory data reset, all data will be wiped from your SHIELD. Data associated with
your Google Account can be recovered. Any device settings will also be removed.
After you reset your SHIELD to factory settings, you may need to reinstall some apps or games.
Reset through settings (recommended)
To reset your SHIELD to factory settings, follow these steps:
1.
From the Home screen, scroll down until you reach Settings
2.
Select Settings
3.
Under "Device," find and select Storage & reset
4.
Select Factory data reset.
5.
Then select factory data reset again.
6.
Select Erase everything to confirm and reset your device.
After you reset your SHIELD to factory settings, you need to reinstall any apps or games.
