    As the FDS301 responds to visible flame the FDS301 cannot be used in locations where flare stacks are within its field of view without triggering alarms. The FDS301 is unable to detect fires that are invisible to the naked eye, such as those using pure hydrogen, methanol and sulphur as fuel.
