Vi2202 Two-port 60W PoE++ Midspan Installation Manual
The MaxiiPower Model
Vi2202 is a unique 2-port PoE Midspan designed for
the most demanding power applications of 10/100/1000 Base-T networks.
With the ability to provide up to 65W on a single port, it is the most cost
effective method for powering PTZ domes cameras with heaters and
blowers. The Midspan is compliant IEEE 802.3af, IEEE 802.3at standards
and 60W PoE application.
The Vi2202 can virtually meet requirements of any high power PoE
application. Its unique internal control system enables it to handle both
single PD and dual PD PoE devices. A highly reliable internal power supply
can provide up to 65W shared between 2 ports. For applications requiring
2-ports of PoE++, it can be used with Vigitiron's Vi1120 external power
supply to provide up to total 120W PoE power.
The Midspan is equipped with LEDs to provide power status. No IP setting
or configurations are required and it can completely transparent to the
Ethernet network and higher layer protocols.
The Vi2202's compact design dual channel design is smaller, lighter and
easier to fit in environmental enclosures than most single channel power
supplies.

IP Camera-end Installation
- Connect the UTP cables from the IP camera or other PoE powered device
to the upper RJ45 connectors of Vi2202. The cable must be a cat5/6 with a
maximum length of 100m (328 feet)
Ethernet Switch/NVR-end Installation
- Connect the UTP Cable (cat5/6) from the Ethernet switch to the standard
Ethernet port on the lower RJ45 connector of Vi2202. The total length of
UTP cable from network switch to the powered PoE device should not
exceed 100m (328 feet).
The Vi2202 is able to provide total 60W PoE output using its built-in 65W
power supply. If more power needed you can use Vi1120 external power
supply.
PoE Output up to 60W:
- Plug the AC power cord provided with the unit to the mains.
PoE Output up to 120W:
Warning: Unplug the AC power cord from the unit and
the mains.
- Connect the UTP Cable (cat5/6) from the Ethernet switch to the standard
Ethernet port on the lower RJ45 connector of Vi2202.
- Connect the the DC output connector of the Vi1120 to the DC input
connector of the Vi2202.
