Install USB Drivers

1. To install the USB drivers, use the Tektronix
InstallShield Wizard that is included on the
OpenChoice CD provided with the instrument.
You can also download the wizard from tek.com
at: http://www.tek.com/support. In the download
section, enter THS3000 and select software from
the drop-down list.
2. Unzip the driver file to a user-defined folder.
3. Run the installation application to install the USB
drivers on the PC.
4. Check that the PC and oscilloscope communicate
properly. (See page 100, Confirm Oscilloscope
and PC Communication.)

Two USB drivers must be installed before connecting the oscilloscope to a PC.
One driver is for the oscilloscope and the second driver is for the USB serial port
on the PC. The oscilloscope does not need to be connected to the PC during the
initial USB driver installation.
