Questions and answers
I have a blinking red light on my 1720E-1V. I have a green light on where it says ready. Blinking red light where it says status. I was just wondering what that means what it means when its blinking.
I'm only getting .. .. for my reading on my 1720e turb meter. The light bulb is new and working. not sure what to do.
If your Hach 1720E turbidity meter is displaying ".. .." despite having a new working light bulb, follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check for Light Path Obstruction – Ensure nothing is blocking the light path inside the turbidimeter.
2. Inspect the Lamp Installation – Verify that the new lamp is correctly installed and making proper contact.
3. Check for Improper Wiring – Ensure all connections at the controller and turbidimeter head are correct.
4. Verify System Voltage – Fluctuations in voltage may cause display issues. Restart the instrument to reset it.
5. Check for Circuit Board Issues – If problems persist, the circuit board in the turbidimeter head may be faulty.
6. Look for a Light Leak – Ensure the turbidimeter head is properly aligned with the body or calibration cylinder.
7. Perform Zero Electronics Calibration – Run the ZERO ELECTRONICS function in the CALIBRATION MENU.
8. Check the Photocell – If broken or cracked, the photocell may need replacement.
If the issue continues, contact the Customer Service Department for further assistance.
