Error code: 0014
Object inside tunnel or signal deviation of a detector
line! Convey object out of tunnel or switch off X-ray
unit and remove object manually!

Switch off the X-ray unit before starting any of

the following work and remove the key! If the
unit does not have a key switch, wait until all
indicators on the keyboard have extinguished
and separate the unit from the mains by
pulling the mains plug!
Error code: 0018
Operating conditions out of range! Scanning disabled!
Error code: 0027
X-ray system (A/B/...) cannot be activated (operating
conditions are possibly out of range)!
Error code: 0028
X-ray system (A/B/...) cannot be deactivated! Switch
off unit immediately!
Error code: 0029
Unexpected activation of X-ray system (A/B/...)!
Switch off unit immediately!

Cause/Correction
 When clearing the tunnel after switching on the
X-ray unit, ensure that no baggage or freight
items are placed on the conveyors while the con-
veyors are running.
 Check if there is still a baggage item inside the
inspection tunnel and remove it by hand.
 If there is no item in the tunnel, you should ask
the local service office or Smiths Heimann to do
the repair, because image errors must be taken
into consideration due to the signal deviation.

 The temperature is too high or too low. See to a
lower or higher ambient temperature to be estab-
lished.
 On units equipped with a heating or cooling sys-
tem* for the X-ray generators, the correct operat-
ing conditions will be automatically established
after a short time.
 Due to a hardware failure the X-radiation does not
switch off anymore.

Warning!
Switch off the X-ray unit at once! If the error

returns after switching on again or if the er-
ror 0029 (Unexpected activation of X-ray sys-
tem!) occurs, withdraw the key or the mains
cable and have the unit repaired! Further op-
eration of the X-ray unit is not permitted!
 Due to a hardware failure X-radiation switches on
by itself.
