    DMM Tests The purpose of the digital multimeter (DMM) tests function is to detect AC/DC voltages and currents, and measure resistance and capacitance in a loop. These tests allow you to make basic electrical safety checks (AC volts), check from “crossed” or coupled battery voltages, assess basic loop continuity and quality with resistance measurements, and measure total electrical length with capacitance.
