9-volt back- up battery (not supplied). We recom- mend an alkaline battery, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-553. A fresh battery powers the clock for up to 8 hours, and sounds the alarm for up to 10 minutes if power fails.
CLOCK OPERATION SETTING THE TIME 1. Press and hold TIME SET press . The hour digits HOUR advance by 1 each time you press . Press and hold HOUR rapidly advance the hour digits. Note: The PM indicator appears on the top left of the display at 12:00 noon and disappears at 12:00 midnight.
USING THE ALARMS Setting the Alarm Time 1. Set ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON 2. Press and hold ALARM SET press . The time on the dis- HOUR play advances by one hour each time you press HOUR to rapidly advance the hour HOUR digits.
USING THE SNOOZE FEATURE To temporarily silence the buzzer or radio so it sounds again after 9 min- utes, press . You can repeat SNOOZE this until you set ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON to turn off the alarm. To reset the alarm to sound again at the same alarm time on the next day, ALARM/AUTO/OFF/ON ALARM...
6. To turn off the radio, set AUTO/OFF/ON Note: The AM antenna is built in. Ro- tate the clock radio for the best AM re- ception. For the best FM reception, fully extend the AC power cord (which is the FM antenna).
Modifying or tampering with the clock radio’s internal components can cause a mal- function and might invalidate your clock radio’s warranty and void your FCC autho- rization to use it. If your clock radio is not performing as it should, take it to your local Radio Shack store for assistance.
FCC INFORMATION Your radio might cause TV or radio in- terference even when it is operating properly. To determine whether your radio is causing the interference, turn off your radio. If the interference goes away, your radio is causing the inter- ference.
